A Aptum Case Study
WorldGaming, a Toronto-based competitive console gaming platform, was rapidly outgrowing its downtown colocation provider and needed more room for developer, staging and testing environments, higher power capacity, virtualization options, and a more resilient disaster-recovery location. To address these needs it chose Aptum for colocation and cloud hosting.
Aptum migrated WorldGaming to a larger Toronto datacenter, enabling a virtualized environment, multiple servers, stronger stability and redundancy, and first-right-of-refusal on adjacent racks for growth. Aptum also delivered greater bandwidth, three times the previous power capacity, remote hands support (able to reboot routers within five minutes), bandwidth/port monitoring, and on-site generators/UPS — all at a price point comparable to the prior provider — resulting in improved uptime, security, control and scalability for WorldGaming.
