Premia Solutions, a UK-based white-label car insurance provider serving over 2,000 dealerships and managing more than one million policies, needed always-on operations and robust disaster recovery to meet 99.9% SLAs while supporting rapid growth with a compact IT team of seven. Premia has worked with Aptum since 2012 to outsource complex infrastructure and obtain managed services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), private cloud and backup.

Aptum delivered a managed IaaS solution from its Portsmouth data centre—two managed VM hosts for web services, a SQL server hosting ~100 databases, backups to Croydon and log‑shipping to Heathrow every 15 minutes—taking responsibility for hardware, networking, OS, patches and DR. The Aptum deployment enabled rapid scaling, resilient failover during peak incidents, a database migration with only ~4 hours’ downtime, seamless remote working during COVID, and continued 24/7 availability to support up to 350,000 new policies a year and handling as many as 7,000 claims per month.
