A Aptum Case Study
The Canadian Cancer Society, a national non-profit that funds research and provides cancer information, needed reliable Internet services to deliver its Peer Support Online Database and support email and remote access across divisional offices. To ensure staff could access Citrix portals, VPNs and after-hours resources for the Peer Support program, the Society engaged Aptum for Internet services.
Aptum provided Internet connectivity that enabled office-wide Internet and email, egress to Citrix portals for work-from-home staff, VPN access for PEI facilities, and centralized access to the Peer Support Database for all divisions (excluding Ontario offices). The deployment improved remote and after-hours access, sustained the Peer Support program across divisions and delivered measurable cost savings—Aptum’s solution was priced roughly 15–20% lower than competitor quotes—helping the Society reduce operating and administrative expenses.
