How PDA Developed a Random List Trick to Simplify Staff Workload

The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) is a nonprofit professional society serving nearly 10,000 pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical members worldwide and organizing large conferences with about 24 industry interest groups. After events that draw 600–800 attendees, staff faced a tedious post-conference task of entering 1,200–1,400 people into committee records to track group membership.

Using the Aptify platform, PDA developed a simple “Random List Trick”: export Aptify linked data to Excel via the Aptify Excel integration wizard, verify entries on the FINDER tab against registration lists, then press a button to add names to the appropriate committees. The streamlined process cut the task from nearly three days to about 15 minutes, dramatically reducing staff workload and improving accuracy.
