How Parents as Teachers created configurations in Aptify to make fundraising features simple, easy and trouble-free

Parents as Teachers (PAT), a nonprofit that supports parents in their children's early development, discovered after going live with its Aptify AMS in 2011 that the out-of-the-box fundraising module lacked key features needed for their progressive fundraising operations. The main challenges were cumbersome donation entry, duplicated person and address records across modules, and the need to make fundraising data easily findable and secure for the fundraising team.

PAT's IT team used Aptify's configuration capabilities to build a simple fundraising dashboard, streamline processes by consolidating fundraising data in the persons module, and implement row-set and field-level security to restrict access. The result was a one-stop, user-friendly fundraising workflow that made entering donations simple and trouble-free, eliminated duplication, and kept sensitive data private—avoiding the need for additional software and leading staff to embrace and request further enhancements.
