How NJCPA used Aptify’s open API interface to link and sync hours entry automatically

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA), a 15,000‑member professional organization, needed a reliable way to track system developers’ billable hours and ensure those entries posted correctly to Aptify for project and ledger management. Manual timekeeping was laborious and error-prone, so NJCPA sought a streamlined solution that would capture time accurately and reduce administrative overhead.

Using Aptify’s open API and the third‑party time tracker Toggl, NJCPA built a lightweight integration that links Toggl projects to internal Aptify cases and automatically syncs time entries. Launched in 2014, the tool delivers significant time savings and ease of use—users simply start and stop timers, and entries flow into Aptify with virtually no additional manual input—making time tracking faster, cleaner, and better integrated with project accounting.
