Case Study: American Society of Appraisers achieves in-house, cost-saving elections and real-time results with Aptify

A Aptify Case Study

Preview of the American Society of Appraisers Case Study

How ASA leveraged its Aptify system to bring an essential and complex process in-house

The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) is an international, multi-discipline nonprofit representing professional appraisers. ASA previously outsourced its annual officer and occasional constitutional amendment elections, a solution that was costly, time-consuming and offered limited control. Key challenges for an in-house system included preserving ballot anonymity while tracking who had voted for reminders, handling changing open seats and multiple write-ins, delivering different ballots by geography and discipline, and posting nominee bios online.

Using its Aptify system, ASA built an in-house election center with eligibility-based ballots, candidate bios, many-to-many write-in support, and real-time results and reminders. The new solution gave staff immediate control to edit and correct ballots, eliminated double entry and SSO hassles, and delivered roughly $7,000 in annual savings — enabling faster posting of outcomes and a smoother, more efficient voting process.
