Travian Games, a global cross-platform games developer, wanted to reactivate lapsed players without damaging email reputation or violating data protection rules. The company needed a more efficient way to reach inactive users, many of whom were no longer responsive by email, while also finding a way to engage players through additional channels. Apteco, working with partner b.telligent, provided the campaign orchestration tools used for this challenge, including Apteco PeopleStage™.
Apteco implemented an integration between Apteco PeopleStage™ and Facebook Custom Audience, allowing Travian Games to target players using existing email addresses through Facebook instead of relying only on email. This approach helped Travian reach nearly half of matched players, reactivate 30% more players than the control group, and generate enough additional payments to achieve an ROI of over 100%. The integration also saved around €5,000 in annual agency costs by replacing manual processes.
