Prezzo, the UK restaurant group behind Prezzo, Chimichanga, Cafe Uno, and Cleaver, needed a better way to reduce its heavy reliance on promotions and move toward more value-led, one-to-one customer engagement. Working with Apteco and partner Planning-inc, the business sought to harness its data to understand dining trends, customer behavior, and spend more effectively, rather than using one-size-fits-all discounting.
Apteco implemented a customer data and targeting solution using Apteco FastStats, Apteco PeopleStage, and FastStats Geo to create a single customer view across till, voucher, email, reservation, and feedback data. This enabled micro-segmentation, lifecycle tracking, basket analysis, and real-time personalized voucher campaigns, helping Prezzo improve targeting, support operational decisions, and launch prioritized marketing programs more quickly. The case study highlights incremental revenue and stronger guest management, though it does not provide specific numeric results.
