Greggs, the UK retail baker, wanted a single customer view to bring together data from multiple sources and give complete visibility of its Greggs Rewards customers. Working with Apteco and partner Data HQ, the company aimed to better understand customer buying behaviours and motivations while also improving customer loyalty and launching a real-time customer satisfaction program through its Rewards app.

Apteco implemented a solution using Apteco FastStats®, FastStats Geo™ and Apteco PeopleStage™ to create a live SCV that updated within minutes of in-store transactions. This gave Greggs deeper customer and product insight, supported targeted communications, and enabled real-time surveys and promotions. The results included over 1 million communications delivered, 11,206 completed questionnaire responses with a 12% response rate, and almost double the product purchases from incentivised promotions.
