Vita Health Products, a Winnipeg-based manufacturer of over 500 natural health and OTC products founded in 1936, faced operational strain after acquiring Stanley Pharmaceuticals doubled its SKUs and volumes. Its aging AS/400 system lacked forecasting and MRP capabilities, forcing manual spreadsheet planning, causing inventory control problems, expiry risks, lost sales and degraded customer service.
