SNA Europe Industries, part of the Snap-on Group, is a leading European hand-tools manufacturer whose Bollnäs factory (80 employees) produces over 4 million hand saws annually. The plant faced disparate machines and systems, manual downtime recording and other labor-intensive processes that made scaling to meet demand difficult and produced imprecise data for improvement work.

By implementing Aptean Industrial Manufacturing OEE Visualize, operators now log downtime in real time, OEE is shown across the factory and issues are reviewed daily in CI meetings. Combined with layout changes and replacing half of the larger machines, the initiative boosted productivity by 14% (2013–2017), doubled OEE on a troubled machine (32% to 64%), streamlined production and made the operation easier to scale while attracting interest from other companies.
