Green Valley Pecan, one of the world’s largest pecan growers and the seventh-largest processor, operates over 10,000 acres and produces tens of millions of pounds of in-shell pecans annually. The company faced manual, inefficient production and packaging processes and relied on multiple legacy systems that provided delayed, incomplete visibility—hindering quality control, traceability and real-time decision-making.

In May 2017 Green Valley Pecan implemented Aptean Food & Beverage ERP, an industry-specific Microsoft-based solution with built-in functionality for process manufacturing. The system enabled real-time tracking of yields and equipment performance, added quality checks at each production stage, automated packaging transactions and license-plate traceability across the warehouse—allowing the company to track millions of pounds of inventory and cut daily packaging administration from about two hours to roughly five–10 minutes.
