The retailer needed a dynamic fulfilment solution that could scale capacity and guarantee time‑slot feasibility as orders flowed in, without significantly expanding its delivery fleet.

Aptean Routing & Scheduling Paragon Edition implemented its Paragon HDX order‑fulfilment and dynamic routing software to continually re‑optimise routes and match real‑time fleet capacity with stock proximity. The solution enabled planning of more than one million Fast Track deliveries during Christmas, increased fulfilment capacity by about 60% without a major fleet expansion, and now optimises roughly 1,300 routes daily across 160 hubs and 436 vans—supporting four delivery slots and same‑evening delivery to around 95% of UK households.
