Paragon routing and scheduling software saves 10% for Fine Lady Bakeries

Fine Lady Bakeries, a Banbury-based UK bakery operation making 60 daily trips to supermarkets, regional distribution centres and food service outlets, faced a need to rationalise its fixed-route operation, improve driver utilisation and cope with seasonal peaks and incoming Working Time Directive pressures. To address this, the bakery deployed Aptean Routing & Scheduling Paragon Edition (Paragon Single Depot) to generate, monitor and adjust its daily routes.

Aptean Routing & Scheduling Paragon Edition re-scheduled routes and enabled improved multi-tripping, cutting both routes and vehicles and improving driver hours. As a result Fine Lady Bakeries reduced its fleet size by more than 10%, avoided hiring extra tractor and trailer units over the Easter peak, and gained a tool to assess further changes required by the Working Time Directive.
