Cisco’s goals were to end reliance on print, digitize legacy content, deliver mobile on‑demand access, improve customer communication, and cut costs.
Aptara delivered an end‑to‑end content solution by building the Cisco Training Distribution platform and eReader (web and iOS/Android), digitizing legacy materials and providing features like offline sync, search, bookmarking, note‑taking, version control, content management and secure HTML5 delivery. The solution saved Cisco hundreds of thousands of dollars in printing, shipping, and labor, increased customer engagement and loyalty by enabling access across devices (including offline), and standardized content in HTML to simplify reuse and create new digital opportunities.
