Flash Training to HTML5 for Mobile Accessibility

A global pharmaceutical company with thousands of sales, manufacturing, and operations staff worldwide had hundreds of hours of legacy Adobe Flash eLearning that were inaccessible on Apple devices. Needing to deliver convenient, mobile-ready training across time zones, the firm required a fast, scalable solution to make courses available on iPads, iPhones and other modern browsers and devices.

Aptara converted the Flash content to HTML5 in a four-month project, using a team of more than 60 developers to produce mobile-flexible, SCORM 1.2–compliant courses with custom GUI templates, interactive elements, and reusable media assets (HTML5/JavaScript/jQuery/CSS3), plus streaming servers for audio and video. Courses were delivered as individually packaged zip files for easy LMS import, and early usage metrics show staff are accessing the training more often and finding it more engaging.
