SS&C Intralinks, a leading provider of virtual data rooms for the financial sector, faced the challenge of developing a secure, web-based redaction tool for its Fortune 1000 clients. These clients manage billion-dollar deals where any data leak could have severe financial and legal consequences. Intralinks needed a solution that was completely secure, easy to use, and would maintain its reputation as an innovator. They partnered with vendor Apryse to integrate professional PDF redaction capabilities into their platform.

The solution was implemented using Apryse's WebViewer SDK, which allowed for client-side redaction directly in the browser without transmitting sensitive files over the network. Apryse's technology enabled advanced features like regex search to quickly find sensitive data and secure server-side processing to permanently erase information. As a result, Intralinks launched its unique web-based redaction offering in just 2.5 months. The Apryse-powered solution achieved high user adoption among major accounts, reduced operational costs, and provided a flexible foundation for future product enhancements.
