US-based Healthcare Center achieves 90% precision with Apriorit

The customer, a US-based healthcare center specializing in infertility treatment, faced the challenge of automating the time-consuming manual process of detecting and measuring ovarian follicles in ultrasound videos. They engaged Apriorit to develop an AI-based system that could accurately track, segment, and measure these follicles to streamline their doctors' workflow.

Apriorit developed a complex solution employing a Mask R-CNN neural network for detection, supplemented by custom algorithms for segmentation, measurement, and reporting. The resulting system achieved a remarkable 90% precision and 97% recall rate, drastically reducing the time doctors spent on manual analysis and allowing them to focus more on patient care. Apriorit's solution is currently being tested by the client with plans for broader clinical use pending FDA certification.
