Credit Suisse, one of Switzerland’s leading banks, faced the challenge of making customer onboarding faster, simpler, and more customer-friendly while still meeting strict regulatory and KYC requirements. Traditional branch-based onboarding was time-consuming, manual, and costly, and the bank wanted to offer a fully digital alternative that could support self-service account opening for Swiss residents.

AppWay provided the Online Relationship Onboarding (ORO) solution, integrating digital front-end onboarding with Credit Suisse’s internal systems, video identification, electronic signatures, and automated workflows. The new process reduced onboarding to about 15 minutes and cut activation to around two working days, while improving data quality and reducing the error rate by 65%. AppWay also helped Credit Suisse reduce front-office workload, standardize compliance checks, and create a scalable platform for future rollout.
