Case Study: Intermat modernizes its staircase estimation apps with Appwapp

Intermat migrates web and mobile apps from AWS to Azure with Appwapp after 40 years in business

Intermat, the largest distributor of residential doors, stairs, and hardware in Quebec, faced a challenge when their previous development agency closed. They needed to migrate their essential web and mobile staircase estimation applications from Amazon AWS to Microsoft Azure and update the technology stack to support new .NET and iOS versions. With minimal documentation and no access to the original developers, they turned to Appwapp for mobile and web development services to manage this complex transition.

Appwapp conducted a thorough audit of the existing code and infrastructure and developed a migration plan. They successfully updated the code and migrated the applications to Azure, overcoming the significant challenge of working with outdated versions of Windows Server and SQL Server. This ensured the continued operation of the critical tools used by Intermat's field estimators and office-based account managers.
