Leading Biotechnology Company Migrates F5 BIG-IP Configurations in Minutes

Leading Biotechnology Company, a biotech product development firm serving more than 350,000 clients, needed to consolidate two data centers after an acquisition. The company faced the challenge of migrating more than 700 load-balanced applications, including critical e-commerce and payment systems, from one data center to another while avoiding the cost, delays, and errors of a manual F5 BIG-IP configuration migration.

AppViewX implemented its ADC+ platform, using the Application Provisioning System (APS) module and self-service templates to automate F5 configuration migration, VIP provisioning, IP allocation, and validation. AppViewX helped reduce the migration time for 125 virtual servers from two days to 15 minutes and cut per-application migration time from 30 minutes to 5 minutes, completing the project with the existing team and delivering significant cost savings.
