Segment, a leading customer data platform used by over 20,000 businesses, faced declining qualified opportunities because SDRs and AEs were spending hours on manual lead research. To address this, Segment partnered with Apptopia and adopted the Apptopia API to bring mobile intelligence directly into their existing analytics and sales workflows.
Apptopia’s API was integrated into Segment’s data warehouse and piped into Salesforce and Looker, enriching ~16k accounts with key signals (MAU, SDK stack, Top Mobile App, and App Store URLs). The Apptopia integration removed switching costs and extra training, improved targeting and prioritization, and helped reps pursue higher‑quality leads while saving up to 3–4 hours per week on research.
