Inova Health System, Northern Virginia’s leading not-for-profit healthcare provider, needed a way to improve project collaboration and document compliance across a large, distributed workforce while meeting strict healthcare privacy requirements. With limited IT bandwidth to implement and manage a new platform, Inova turned to Apptix and its Dedicated SharePoint Foundation service.

Apptix implemented SharePoint Foundation with Active Directory synchronization for an initial pilot group supporting Inova’s EMR project. The solution enabled real-time document sharing, version control, and communication management for 100+ users across multiple locations, delivering a fast, affordable cloud-based deployment. Following the successful pilot, Inova began exploring expanded use of Apptix SharePoint across the organization for additional collaboration and compliance needs.
