Big Train turns to Apptivo’s Loyalty App as the Engine for OnTrack Rewards

Big Train, a major manufacturer and international distributor of gourmet drink mixes, needed better insight into and stronger loyalty from its core customers—U.S. café and foodservice operators—while fending off growing competition. To create a points-based rewards program that could track purchases, issue redeemable certificates, and provide administrative control and marketing data, Big Train partnered with Apptivo and used Apptivo’s Loyalty App to build OnTrack Rewards™.

Apptivo configured a custom, web-based Loyalty Application (with secure login, distributor portals, admin controls, APIs and automated certificate issuance) and delivered a working prototype within 90 days. The program surpassed its initial goal of 1,000 sign-ups in year one and now includes thousands of businesses and distributors, giving Big Train rich customer data that directly informed product development (leading to the award-winning Fit Frappe launch) while keeping operating costs low and improving customer engagement. Apptivo’s solution enabled scalable tracking, redemption and reporting that strengthened Big Train’s customer relationships.
