Luzerner Kantonsspital achieves 99% error-free Windows 10 packages with Apptimized

Luzerner Kantonsspital (LUKS), the largest central hospital in Switzerland, faced the complex challenge of migrating from Windows 7 to Windows 10 across its large IT environment. This required preparing and packaging approximately 170 diverse applications for deployment. To accomplish this, LUKS engaged the vendor Apptimized to handle the specialized service of application packaging and virtualization.

Apptimized implemented its mobilization approach, utilizing on-site consultants to coordinate the project and remote engineers to perform the packaging directly on the customer's infrastructure. The solution, which primarily used Microsoft App-V virtualization, resulted in 178 successfully packaged applications with a 96% virtualization rate. Apptimized delivered over 99% of the packages error-free and within the agreed SLA, enabling LUKS to save internal resources and complete its Windows 10 rollout.
