Apptension partnered with PetProov to address challenges in the pet transaction industry. The customer needed to develop a secure mobile platform that would build trust by verifying the identities of all parties involved. The dual challenge was to create a seamless user experience for managing multiple transactions and to build a reliable technical backend for calculating accurate risk scores based on identity verification data from Onfido.

Apptension built the solution using Firebase for the backend to securely manage data and Expo (React Native) for the cross-platform mobile application. This tech stack enabled a lightweight, mobile-friendly system with real-time notifications and robust risk assessment logic. The result was a transparent and secure platform that ensures every pet transaction is backed by a reliable verification process, helping to create safer interactions for breeders, buyers, and adopters.
