From Traditional to Transformative: American Chemical Society Chooses Appspace for a Better Workplace

American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society, needed a better way to support hybrid work in its Washington, DC office. As employees returned less often after the pandemic, ACS wanted to improve workspace use, encourage collaboration, and provide more user-friendly workplace tools. Appspace was chosen to help address these challenges, initially focused on space reservation and hoteling needs.

Appspace implemented a broader workplace experience platform for ACS, including Space Reservation, Digital Signage, the Employee App, Wayfinding, and integrations with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and WebEx. The result was a simpler user experience, streamlined workplace processes, improved internal communications for both in-office and remote staff, and greater visibility into space usage. ACS also reported better collaboration and more efficient use of office space, with fewer administrative tasks and a more seamless booking experience.
