How SmartD Created Apps to Accelerate Pesquera Exalmar’s Digital Transformation

Pesquera Exalmar is a large Peruvian fishery with 25 years of experience, 1,000+ employees, and multiple vessels and processing plants. Facing fragmented, manual data collection across operations, fleet, safety inspections and outsourced maintenance, the company needed a way to standardize inputs, access real-time indicators, and reduce time spent on paperwork to drive productivity and lower costs as part of a broader digital transformation.

SmartD built two no‑code AppSheet mobile apps—SSO Exalmar for safety inspections and Supervisión Mantenimiento for maintenance supervision—integrated with Exalmar’s data stores and Power BI. The apps enable field crews to capture photos, signatures and progress, generate PDF reports, receive notifications, and sync offline. The result: faster reporting, centralized real‑time data, improved oversight and adoption by users, and measurable progress toward Exalmar’s digital transformation goals.
