How PEGAfrica Utilizes Apps to Manage Customer Relationship and Field Sales Reps

PEGAfrica sells solar home systems on credit to off‑grid households in West Africa and faced major operational challenges: sales reps had to go door‑to‑door across remote villages, information was scattered in WhatsApp and Excel, and field staff struggled to report visits by email or phone. The company needed a simple, mobile way for reps and office teams to access customer locations, repayment status and territory data so they could sell, collect and coordinate more effectively.

PEGAfrica adopted AppSheet to build a suite of mobile apps — starting with a Ghana sales app used by 81 reps (with 40 more joining) plus manager apps for 52 users, area managers (9) and country managers (4). The apps provide customer/prospect locations, commission and blocked‑customer lists, payment entry and collection alerts, and easy visit logging, enabling faster collections, clearer visibility into non‑paying customers, better deployment of sales resources, and rapid iteration and expansion (including roll‑out to Côte d'Ivoire).
