How Husqvarna Became a Thought Leader in Warehouse and Inventory Management

Husqvarna, a global maker of outdoor power products, operates a 125,000‑square‑foot North American parts warehouse holding more than 35,000 SKUs. The facility’s 160 workers had been managing inventory, receiving, shipping and other processes on paper (and imperfect Excel workarounds), which became unsustainable as volume grew and made productivity tracking and KPI visibility difficult.

Warehouse manager Mark Creighton and colleague Erika Braxton built and rolled out 41 custom no‑code AppSheet apps in about eight months—integrating with Google Sheets—to digitize cycle counts, goods receipt, lift usage, quality control and personnel management. The apps provide real‑time tracking, timestamps, signatures and photos, doubled cycle‑count productivity (about 60,000 counts/year), sharply reduced quality incidents (reported as a 200% reduction), delivered roughly 15–20% savings, improved visibility with dashboards and leaderboards, and sparked ongoing improvements across the operation.
