How AppSheet Helped Nonprofit Translators without Borders Support Humanitarian Field Workers and Interpreters

Translators without Borders (TWB) is a nonprofit that provides language and translation support to humanitarian and development agencies. In crisis settings, technical and administrative terms can be unfamiliar to local translators and field workers, and limited or no internet access makes it hard to retrieve accurate translations when they’re most needed.

TWB’s Head of Technology, Mirko Plitt, used the AppSheet platform to build glossary apps that work online and offline, giving interpreters and field staff quick access to vetted, technical translations. The apps helped bridge communication gaps, improve the accuracy and speed of information delivery, and ensured critical language resources were available even without internet connectivity.
