Global Cancer Institute (GCI) is a nonprofit focused on improving survival and quality of life for underserved cancer patients. Program Coordinator Allie Bukowski runs the Patient Navigation Program and the Young Women’s Breast Cancer Database, but both relied on paper forms, making data analysis, global collaboration, and timely access to patient information difficult—especially in low‑resource areas with spotty or no wifi.

Allie converted Google Forms into AppSheet apps that let Patient Navigators and patients complete questionnaires on tablets (including offline), record interactions, and centralize clinical and demographic data. The apps have supported recruitment and data collection for 50+ patients, significantly improving productivity, enabling global collaboration, and giving GCI faster, more reliable insight into projects and patient outcomes.
