Nationstar Mortgage, a Lewisville, Texas–based mortgage servicer, faced severe Citrix XenApp performance problems during rapid growth that tripled its employee population. Desktop logons slowed to as long as three minutes, sessions froze (one complex Excel query could lock an entire server), and trouble tickets surged to about 300 per day despite frequent server additions.

Nationstar deployed AppSense DesktopNow (Environment Manager and Performance Manager) after a 500-seat proof of concept and a two-month rollout. AppSense equalized resource use, eliminated Terminal Services roaming profiles and custom logon scripts, and moved most GPO settings into the UEM layer—resulting in support for 7,500 users, logon times down to 14–20 seconds, trouble tickets reduced to under 10 per day, a 10% increase in server density, and faster help‑desk profile recovery.
