Infosys leverages AppSense to improve user experience and system performance at Viterra

Viterra, Canada’s grain industry leader, was struggling with a bloated terminal-server environment supporting nearly 4,000 users: roaming profiles and accumulated logon scripts, group policies and batch files were causing corrupt profiles, long logon times and slow or frozen sessions, undermining productivity. To modernize its end-user strategy and prepare for virtualization, Viterra partnered with Infosys to optimize its desktop management stack.

Infosys implemented and upgraded AppSense DesktopNow (Environment Manager and Performance Manager) to centralize user settings, remove legacy scripts and prioritize application resources. The result was a simplified desktop lifecycle, seamless migration to XenApp/XenDesktop, faster application launch and responsiveness, and a reduction in logon times from minutes to about 35–45 seconds.
