British Energy, the UK’s largest electricity producer (8 nuclear stations, one coal plant, ~6,000 employees, FTSE100), needed secure remote access for staff constrained by tight OCNS legislation. After moving to Citrix to meet accreditation, the company faced corrupted roaming profiles, identical non‑personalized sessions, and server contention as resource‑hungry applications slowed logons and disrupted other users across 125 Citrix servers and ~800 remote users.

British Energy deployed AppSense Environment Manager to stream personalized user settings into any session and AppSense Performance Manager to identify and limit resource‑intensive applications.
