PetTrax Leverages Apps Associates’ Expertise to Enable Remote Pet Care

PetTrax, a company focused on remote pet health monitoring and care, needed help connecting its IoT-enabled pet feeder and related services to the cloud and building a mobile app for owners. To avoid managing its own infrastructure, PetTrax turned to Apps Associates for cloud software expertise, server setup, database messaging, and application development.

Apps Associates implemented the cloud architecture on AWS, secured the environment with SSL, built the mobile app using RESTful web services and MQTT messaging, and integrated systems such as MySQL and Amazon RDS for Aurora. The result was a scalable, operational platform with features like push notifications, live video streaming, and animated graphs; PetTrax moved from alpha toward beta testing with the infrastructure in place to support growth and future full production.
