Komori Improves Performance, Reduces Costs by Hosting Oracle EBS on the AWS Cloud

Komori America, the U.S. subsidiary of Komori Corporation, needed to refresh aging on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite infrastructure that was slowing order management and affecting customer service. After evaluating an in-house hardware upgrade, Komori turned to Apps Associates and Oracle EBS on Amazon AWS as a more scalable and cost-effective option.

Apps Associates migrated Oracle EBS to AWS, converted the database from 32-bit to 64-bit, and set up VPN connectivity to Komori’s local resources. The weekend cutover finished 18 hours ahead of schedule with no disruption to integrations, and Komori reported better EBS performance, stronger redundancy, easier backup and recovery, and nearly 50% lower monthly costs. Auto invoicing time was also reduced from 45 minutes to 15 minutes.
