Hansen Technologies, the MSP division of PPL Solutions, needed to quickly separate its IT environment after divesting from its parent company, without large capital expense or major disruption. It also wanted to replace an overly complex document management system and create a more flexible, scalable infrastructure. Apps Associates helped Hansen Technologies plan the move and migrate its workloads to AWS.

Apps Associates designed and executed the solution by building a scalable AWS environment with Amazon EC2 across multiple Availability Zones, Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for monitoring, Amazon S3 for document storage, and Amazon WorkSpaces to replace VDI. The weekend migration minimized downtime and validation showed the new environment performed flawlessly. As a result, Hansen Technologies can provision resources much faster, spend less time on infrastructure management, and has lowered both operational and capital costs.
