Apps Associates Hosts Oracle E-Business Suite in the AWS Cloud for American Commercial Lines

American Commercial Lines, a major U.S. inland waterways shipping company, needed to replace a soon-to-expire hosted Oracle E-Business Suite environment and move its mission-critical ERP system to the cloud. The company was looking for greater flexibility, lower costs, and a pay-as-you-go model, and it chose Apps Associates for its expertise in both Oracle EBS and AWS infrastructure.

Apps Associates migrated Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 to Amazon Web Services in a planned three-month project that included testing and two migration passes. The production cutover took only four hours of downtime, and the result was a stable, high-performance system with better cost efficiency and no latency issues. American Commercial Lines also noted that Apps Associates provided ongoing EBS management, including security, backup, and DBA services.
