Case Study: Cisco achieves a cost-efficient multilingual support community migration with Appnovation

Cisco, the San Jose-based networking company, needed to migrate its Cisco Support Community site from Jive to Drupal to reduce website operating and maintenance costs. Appnovation partnered with Cisco and Acquia to lead the development effort, helping modernize the platform while maintaining a complex, high-traffic community experience.

Appnovation delivered the fully migrated site on Drupal v7.26 in spring 2014 after requirements gathering began in June 2013. The solution added multilingual support for English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese, improved performance, and created a foundation for ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and automation work across Cisco’s digital properties.
