Fox News wanted a mobile app to bring live election coverage closer to viewers and help them follow the 2012 presidential campaign more easily. Appnovation partnered with Google to build the Fox News Candidate Tracker application, giving users a way to track Democratic and Republican candidates’ scheduled events throughout the year.

Appnovation’s solution used Google Maps and Google Calendar so users could search by zip code or city, view each day’s agenda, and customize tracking by party, battleground states, and hot races. The result was a more interactive election experience for Fox News, supporting its multi-platform reach of 1.4B monthly views.
