Case Study: Sutter Health achieves seamless patient-centric care with Appnovation and MuleSoft

Enabling better patient care through bespoke digital integration

Sutter Health, the 4th largest healthcare provider in the United States, needed to overcome fragmented IT systems that created silos across departments and slowed patient care. Appnovation helped address this challenge by supporting the development of a Patient Object Model (POM) to unify applications and processes, using MuleSoft as part of the integration effort.

Appnovation collaborated with Sutter Health’s R&D team to build a central enterprise integration layer and a secure registration and credential portal. The solution enabled systems across hospitals, medical practitioners, pharmacies, and other partners to work together more seamlessly, improving coordination, communication, and responsiveness in patient care.
