Digital guidance to greatly improve a state’s workforce learning opportunities

The State of Iowa, through Iowa Workforce Development, needed a better digital platform to support workforce learning, job placement, and related services for employers, employees, and unemployed residents. The challenge was to streamline integration, development, support, and processes across a multi-layered system, and Appnovation was brought in to help with a solution using Drupal and Alfresco.

Appnovation delivered a proof of concept for the Winter Utility Support Program, demonstrating a Drupal/Alfresco integrated site with Drupal as the presentation layer and UI and Alfresco as the repository for user profiles, documents, and files. The solution streamlined internal processes and workflow, and the project earned Appnovation the Alfresco Partner of the Year award.
