St. Luke’s Health Network Builds for Growth

St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN), a 3,000‑employee, fast‑growing Pennsylvania health system with seven major campuses and ~300 remote sites, faced rising complexity as it moved many services to the cloud. Multiple department-owned SaaS apps, unclear application ownership, and distributed user locations made it difficult for non‑technical app owners and IT to identify and resolve performance problems quickly.

SLUHN implemented AppNeta to baseline and monitor end‑to‑end SaaS performance, create per‑app tests and alerts, and inspect packet traffic for capacity and configuration issues. The team used the data to find and fix problems (for example, SSO bandwidth hogging, an undersized ServiceNow instance, and ISP faults), reduced help‑desk calls, dramatically shortened MTTR, empowered app owners to handle issues, and established repeatable monitoring processes to support continued growth.
