ATS Automation, a global leader in tool manufacturing with data centers in the U.S. and Germany, needed to manage and monitor roughly 75 WAN-connected sites—about 35–40 of which have AppNeta devices—many of which are remote branches without on-site IT. The primary challenges were maintaining end-user performance, quickly identifying root causes across MPLS and internet links, keeping ISPs accountable, and troubleshooting locations from afar.

Using AppNeta’s SaaS monitoring, the network team gained end-to-end, end-user–focused visibility: utilization and RTT metrics, route-change alerts, QoS verification, and path analysis. This allowed them to detect underperforming ISP circuits (e.g., a 10 Mbps link advertised as 50 Mbps), validate QoS, deploy a device temporarily to diagnose remote issues, and plan dynamic routing with SD‑WAN—resulting in improved user experience, faster root-cause identification, and reduced finger-pointing among teams.
