Senvion inspects 53 wind turbines with Applus+ ultrasound testing

The customer, Senvion, a global pioneering wind power company, required inspection services for the armature shafts in its wind turbines. The vendor, Applus+, through its Energy and Industry Division, addressed this challenge using ultrasonic testing (UT) methods.

Applus+ implemented the ultrasound testing using self-made tools and provided specialized safety training to its team to meet the client's strict requirements. The project successfully inspected 53 turbines across Germany, Japan, and Australia. Senvion was satisfied with the inspection quality and the effective communication, demonstrating the success of the UT method and Applus+'s international coordination.
