Naiad Renovables advances 43.2 MW San Miguel wind project with Applus+ due diligence

Naiad Renovables required an independent technical advisor to perform due diligence for its acquisition of the San Miguel wind project in Costa Rica, a 43.2 MW development in its initial phase. Applus+, through its Barlovento Applus+ division, was selected to provide comprehensive wind farm technical due diligence services to assess the project's viability and identify potential risks.

Applus+ conducted a thorough review of the wind farm's design, grid connection feasibility, and component transport logistics, followed by an economic analysis of the engineering design. This work was essential to mitigating technical, logistical, and economic risks, ensuring the project's viability and reinforcing the client's confidence. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to supply clean energy to over 40,000 homes and avoid approximately 60,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
