KPN, a telecom and IT provider based in the Netherlands, faced a significant challenge in efficiently testing the components of its design system. Their manual visual testing process was extremely time-consuming, taking approximately two and a half hours to test a single component across multiple physical devices and environments. To increase testing efficiency, KPN implemented automated visual testing using Applitools.

By integrating Applitools into their workflow, KPN automated its visual testing process. The solution allowed them to run tests on approximately 600 Storybook stories automatically during pull requests. This resulted in a dramatic reduction in testing time, from hours per component to just five minutes for all components. The use of Applitools saved the company tons of time and made testing 30 times faster than their previous manual method.
