Intuit tests 50+ UI components across 1000s of screen combinations with Applitools

Intuit, a financial software company with products like TurboTax, faced the challenge of testing its design system to ensure visual consistency and accessibility across thousands of potential screen configurations. To manage this complexity, they turned to Applitools and its Ultrafast Grid service for automated visual testing.

Using Applitools, Intuit implemented a solution to run automated visual regression tests on its design system components within Storybook. This allowed them to test across multiple browsers and viewport sizes at scale. The results were significant, enabling Intuit to achieve complete visual coverage of over 50 UI components and test thousands of screen combinations, which drastically reduced the need for manual testing.
